Product details

Biologically Appropriate™ cat foods mirror the natural diet. ORIJEN REGIONAL RED is packed with Angus beef, wild boar, Plains bison, Romney lamb and Yorkshire pork, raised on Alberta ranches, delivered FRESH or RAW, and incorporated in Whole Prey ratios that nourish your cat completely.

  • How Much?
  • 85% meat inclusions.
  • ORIJEN leads its class in premium meat inclusions.
  • All from animals deemed fit for human consumption, prior to inclusion in our foods.
  • How Fresh?
  • 2/3 Fresh or Raw, 1/3 Dehydrated or Dried.
  • 2/3 of meats are FRESH or RAW and loaded with goodness.
  • 1/3 is dried at low temperature for a premium protein source.
  • How Many?
  • 6 different animals in WholePrey™ ratios.
  • A variety of meats in WholePrey™ ratios supply nutrients naturally, dramatically reducing the need for synthetic supplements.

With 40% richly nourishing protein, and a limited 17% low-glycemic carbohydrates, ORIJEN nourishes cats of all breeds and life stages according to their evolutionary and biological needs.

Unmatched by any other cat food, 2/3 of ORJEN’s meats are FRESH (refrigerated, without preservatives) or RAW (flash-frozen, without preservatives), including the top 10 ingredients.

1/3 of meats are gently dried at 90°C to create a concentrated source of richly nourishing protein that cannot be supplied by fresh meats alone.

Nutrient-dense WholePrey™ ratios of fresh meats, organs, and cartilage provide virtually every nutrient your cat needs to thrive – only zinc, copper and choline are added.

Infusions of freeze-dried cod liver enhance flavour naturally, making ORIJEN deliciously tasty, even for fussy eaters.

TRANSITIONING FOODS

Cats are often fed the same food, which means a sudden food change makes it difficult for their digestive systems to adapt, which is why it’s important to introduce the new food gradually. Going slowly will give your cat time to adjust to their new food and will also reduce the chances of digestive upset.

Start by mixing 25% new food with 75% old food. Slowly change the proportions over the next five to seven days by gradually increasing the amount of ORIJEN and decreasing the amount of old food. At the end of this transitioning process, you should be feeding 100% ORIJEN.

  • Gourmet food
My cats have been eating this food for two months and they love it. They are all over ten years old and have become very fussy . Their previous food was over70% meat but eventually they got tired of it but this has been greeted with enthusiasm .

  • This is a very high quality food
My elderly cat has been on this food for just under a year and I am happy to say, she has never looked and seems so much better for it. Tinkerbell thrives on this, despite missing quite a few teeth! It is a high protein food that any adult cat, regardless of age can have.

  • Our go-to since kittenhood
I have been feeding my two cats Orijen brand since they were kittens, and wouldn't switch. Not only do they enjoy the food completely, but it is one of the best on the market. With zero fillers and a focus on the protein and plants of a cat's natural diet, this food has ingredients you can trust. I always get compliments on how shiny my cat's coats are!
