Tartar build-up on your dog's teeth not only affects their appearance but can also impact on his or her well being. After your dog finishes eating, bacteria will settle on the teeth resulting in a soft film called plaque. If this is not regularly removed, over time calcium which is naturally found in saliva will stick to the plaque turning it in to tartar also known as dental calculus. Once formed tartar cannot be removed by tooth brush or chewing and requires a scale and polish under veterinary supervision.

Great for dogs who have dental issuesI have been buying this dental care dry food for about a year and it helps my dog with his dental plaque issues and he loves crunching it, which is good for his teeth!

Now my dog has grown this better suits his needsAt the suggestion of my vet I have been feeding my dog the smaller version of this product but now he has grown to a larger size the previous dental biscuits didn't really touch the sides. This larger version should help to keep the tartar down in the months ahead.
